wear time of high output bags…need immediate feedback!!

There probably aren't a lot of folks that use the high output bags here. While I only use them overnight, I do use the same bag for well over a month's worth of nights, and they get pretty full many of those nights. Judging by that alone, I'd think you could safely use one bag for 2-3 weeks at least. The only part of the bag that ever seemed to start wearing out for me was right around the spout at the bottom. When that happened I just cut the end off and used the clip to get a little more time out of the bag. I stretch them as far as I can since they only come 5 to a box and I still need to order enough bags for day use.

If you do call Convatec to get their opinion, keep in mind that they might tell you that you shouldn't use the bags that long. After all, they do want to sell as many as they can to make money....and will probably err on the side of caution so that you can't blame them for bad advice in the event of a blowout.

For what it's worth, I am currently sampling some Coloplast wafers/bags to see if their convex works better for me and I really like their high output bags!

How come insurance only pays for 5 bags? The sounds strange. What do you do, rinse them out? I swear I woke up this morning with my bag filled all the way to they top. I ran to the bathroom holding the bag so softly. I might need to order some of these for nighttime use. I could rinse them out. This is for an ileostomy though, not for urine.

What r these? R they bigger? Heavier plastic?

I have used the Convatec SUR FIT Natura® Two Piece High Output Pouch. I am thinking about returning to them. They lasted as long as a full week sometimes.
