Success with IUI post j-pouch surgery? (infertility issues)

I had my last jpouch surgery in June and we have been trying to conceive for 6 months now with no success. I have been on clomid the last 2 cycles and that has not worked either. We are about to try IUI this cycle but I am worried its a waste of time and effort. Has anyone with post surgical infertility had success with IUI? Or given the potential scaring, it makes sense to do IVF? (I did have a HSG that showed my tubes were open but I know that's not fully conclusive). Feeling very frustrated!

Hi there...I don't have any infertility information but just wanted to let you know that I understand what you're going through. I had my last jpouch surgery in Feb 2015. My surgeon explained the infertility issues prior to surgery but it was a risk I was willing to take because of how sick I was. My husband and I tried for several months with no successs. I had the HSG test in November that showed everything was open. My OB-GYN said that HSG test is sort of like drano cleaning out the tubes, he said he has several patients that don't conceive, have the test, and then conceive. Now, I am 15 weeks pregnant due the end of September and everything has been going fine. I am 36 years old and this is my first baby. When we stopped worrying about it I got pregnant.
