Do you know how long it took for your butt wound to heal?

Hi all! Things have been great and I thought I was all healed. However starting Sunday I became sore by the back door, which was unusual for me because I have had zero butt pain for weeks.

I called the surgeon to rule out any infection. He said I have a small separation in my wound but it is not infected and very light drainage.

I'm kind of bummed out because everything was healing so well and now I wonder was it healed and started to reopen or was it never fully healed and just this drainage started to irritate things.

Those of you that had a total proctocolectomy do you know how many months it took to heal? The surgeon said some patients take 6-12 months because that area is so hard to heal.

Had a total procto colectomy in December. The butt definitely took the longest to heal. I couldnt sit on anything hard for a good 6-8 weeks. All healed up now though
