convatec nature pouch - velcro fastener

Anybody receive the convatec natura drainable pouch in the last 3-4 weeks? I noticed the two Velcro strips do not line up exactly. I went ahead and put one on this morning when changing wafer and nothing has leaked out yet - just wondering if anyone else has seen the same issues.

I noticed the same thing with my order I received yesterday. I thought maybe it was just me. So far so good though... No leaks.

Guts - let me know what happens...i kept that one on for 24 hours and decided to change..it was opening with no effort at all the next morning, so I pulled a spare from a box I've kept...I could tell right away how much stronger the Velcro grip is on the older pouch.

I am now on my 3rd pouch from the new batch. The velcro does not line up evenly but I have had no leaking. I did experience a failure of one of the wafer after day 2 on bag #1 but I think it was my fault as the pouch got to full over night. I also recently figured out if I wear the ostomy belt at night when I sleep as I toss and turn it pulls on the wafer; I started going to bed without it now.

Guts - agreed on the belt - caused me many a sleepless night 'till i just quit wearing it in bed - much easier to sleep.

Glad the 'mis-aligned' velcro strips did not cause you a problem - i'm going to use that set of pouches for spares and 'short-days' - short days being the ones at the end of a wafer wearing week when the pouch put on with the new wafer has been on 4-5 days and is getting 'weak.' I'm comfortable with this group of pouches for no more than two days of wear.
