Don't be mad at your self, we all fall down, we all make mistakes, things may not go as we first planned, but we only fail if we give up. You can always better your best.
Now, from my personal experiences, having had both an end, loop Ileos, and now a jpouch here's my helpful list, number one, coconut water, one it's natural and two it was used as a sort of emergency IV during some rough times in war zones, as it's fairly close to our own blood plasma.
Also, could possibly taking immodium help slow things down and allow more liquids to be absorbed, a lot of jpouchers, including my self take this stuff regularly without any real side effects.
No one can sit there on a regular basis gushing down oz's of liquid at a time, so maybe we could try "sneaking" in fluids too, such as soup? If you have any Vietnames places around your area, "Pho noodle soup" I swear that's the best stuff around!
Don't be afraid of salt/sodium, us colonless need a lot more than the average folk and if you are low on sodium you're gonna feel it.
And finally.. this is a personal thing I've found in my OWN experience what has helped me greatly with extra calories, proteins and vitamins has been goat milk, yes goat milk, it's a lot easier on the system, I can't even really stomach cows milk. Throughout the world goat milk is actually consumed nearly as much as cows, as the goat is similar in weight to a human, has less fat, more protein and high in potassium which we need!
A toast, to your health. =)
