I finally had a CT scan after much pain and agony. The CT scan showed another parastomal hernia and a spigelian hernia on the right side. Are you freaking kidding me? Why why why??? Grrrr
It just makes me so angry and depressed.
Anyway, my doctor wants me to see a couple doctors here and another one at Cleveland clinic. Apparently the Cleveland clinic has a hernia center.
I know surgery is not usually recommended in these situations, but I have continued pain and the stoma has prolapsed and swells to such an extent that it turns purple.
The stoma is now 50mm around and it was 35mm.
This is scary stuff indeed.

I wish I had some words of encouragement for you, but I don't. I just want to let you know that you have been heard and I wish you well.

Good luck answers. I'd like to give you some positive encouragement because I have an inguinal hernia operation on Thursday.
If there's any good words out there I'll share them with you.
