Really nauseous

For the past few days I've been really nauseous. So much so that I had to leave work the other day but couldn't drive home bc I didn't trust myself not to be sick. I just sat in my car.

Even emptying my bag, I feel like I'm gonna be sick. Do I call my nurse?

I've been eating really plain stuff like saltines with PB or soup. Even that- after I eat I feel really sick.

I should also add ivr had a headache non stop for a week or so, and am dizzy every time I lay down and get up, or bend over. Think it's all related? I'm def calling the nurse when the office opens.

Dizziness could be dehydration. You have a loop ileostomy right? Do you have high output?

I do have a loop. I actually don't have a high output at all? Which is odd. I take a Imodium in the am and in the pm . I stayed home from work today bc I felt so crappy. I started tic measure the output today, so I will see what it tells men

I'd call your surgeon, just to keep them in the loop. My allergies are really bad right now, headache and nauseous; I just took a claritin 10 minutes ago.

is your output what it usually is or much less? Possible some sort of partial blockage? I know that can cause nausea and reduce output. Some blockages can last several days

Ididntcal ymy surgeons office and spoke with the nurse. She said they want to do bloodwork, which I did this afternoon. She also said to keep pushing fluids.

I usually put out 1000+ ccs. I'm only at 350 today and it's 4:30 pm.

That's very low. I hope things start passing soon so you don't feel poorly for long. It will be nice to be reconnected and have this in the past. I remember with my loop, I had cramping, nausea & low output one night, I was freaked out, but it worked itself out with time. I was close to going to the hospital so I was thankful to not have to but you definitely should if things don't move better as the night progresses. I never had any issue with blockage with my end ileo.

I've had a blockage and it was so painful. This isn't thattyoe of painful. Today it's 8pm and I'm at 400 cc output and 62 oz drinking. I hate to say it but I hope my bloodwork turns up with something. It'd be nice to know what's going on and that they can fix it!

You will naturally have lower output if you're not eating as much as you usually are. Of course that doesn't explain the nausea.

Hopefully it's nothing serious! Please keep us updated.

Feeling a little better. It still really sick to my stomach. I had two protein shakes and some plain pasta for dinner- I was thinking I needed the protein?

Still have a headache and am dizzy. I tracked how much I'm drinking and yesterday it was a struggle to drink 64 oz. Def lower today but haven't kept track.

No word on the bloodwork do either a) it hasn't come back yet or b) it's fine and nothing is wrong with me.

Doc thinks it's a sinus infection!!!! She said the headaches I'm describing and dizziness all indicate sinus problems. I asked if Audra would also be attributed to that and she said it might. Ugh. Sounds like a stretch.

She gave me antibiotics and zophran and nasal spray stuff.

My bloodwork came back low hemoglobin, red blood cells and hemacrit. I haven't heard back from my doc that ran those blood tests but I guess their fine. Maybe mildly anemic, but I'd think my primary would have picked up on that. I showed her the printed results.

That's good i guess. At least she's not concerned about a blockage. It will be good to get reconnected, the loop caused me a lot of issues. I was always dehydrated and dealing with blood pressure issues. Have you lost weight since surgery? I lost all my pred weight pretty quickly.

Yea apparently the loop can be too tricky. It’s good and bad at the same time.

I still have a constant headache, feel sick to my stomach and dizzy. I’m nervous bc idk what’s wrong. I kinda feel like it’s gotta be connected to my ileostomy. But the nurse said I’m fine bc the bloodwork came back ok. Is that the only thing they use as a baseline ?

The weight is still here. I got horrible stretch marks in my waist from gaining from the pred, then losing after the surgery and then gaining some back. I’m just not as active as I should. Be. And I kinda feel like crap now that I am more healed. Just feeling a little defeated tonight.

I had an appt with my gastroenterologist and he went over my symptoms - he immediately said it was probably due to prednisone withdrawal. He said he’ll subside in time. My nausea and Headaches are already better! Here’s hoping
