Hi Minimoo, I've never used immodium so I can't help you with that, but I wanted to ask how long you've had your stoma. I found that the first couple months after surgery the output was more watery, then as time went by it became all about what you eat. I find that oatmeal and other grainy cereals, potatoes, and peanut butter with bread seem to help in terms of thickness. Also, eating smaller portions helps lower the overall volume of output. I know, that was obvious. Anyway, hope that helps.
Hi Iv had it for nearly 6months now so im thinking it must be settled down by now but i dont think i empty it any less then i did straight after surgery tbh well probably more as i eat more then i did straight after having the surgery,,
I tried the immodium i got pains afew hours after taking it crampy pains i dont know if anythin to do with immodium but i think i wont take it again,, also because the output was so pasty an too pasty an got stuck up the top of the pouch an made me itchy , im having an annoying time with the stoma right now,, it dose seem some days i empty it less then others even though i eat roughly the same portions an types of food everyday im a fussy eater ,, i think it may have been 10 time yesterday but normally it 7 or 8 but i still find this abit annoying as its not even that much full when i empty but it gets heavy dosent it so i feel i should empty it , it makes me worry it will leak if it gets too big
