Hey all! So, I've had my ostomy for 5 years, as a result of Ulcerative Colitis. Everything has been super great since my surgery! For the past few days I have had an achey, crampy, tight and sometimes sharp pain very low on the left side of my abdomen. It is also very tender to the touch in that area. The pain has gotten worse the past two days and is the worst when I'm walking....like I can feel the pain radiating with each step...sometimes radiating across my abdomen a bit. I also feel the pressure and soreness when I urinate, but not like a UTI type feeling...and I feel like I can feel it pushing on the painful area when I eat. When sitting down I don't feel it much unless I wiggle around, but sometimes feel my back is sore then. I called my OBGYN and they don't think it's a lady problem...but I guess it could be. I have also lost a little weight recently for no reason, but don't know if that's related. Anyone have similar issues or any insights? I am seeing the doc, but also wanted to talk to others like me, in case it's related to IBD or my ostomy. Thanks!
