Edgepark supplier

I remember some of you voicing problems with Edgepark. Have you had the problems resolved? I have Medicare as my primary ins and PA Bl Cross and Blue Shield 65 Special as secondary. Edgepark had me paying them $142.50 before even sending my supplies, telling me that is what I owe toward my Medicare deductible. Well, today, I spoke with a Medicare agent and she asked how in the world Edgepark knows this without submitting a bill to Medicare???? Good question. I called Edgepark and was on hold for over half an hour, so just hung up. I am thinking about changing suppliers.

Will do clo. I still haven't spoken to an Edgepark associate. I don't have time to hang on the phone forever. I did speak with the billing department of my cardiac doctor who sent me a bill which far exceeds my Medicare deductable. She is the person who asked how Edgepark could get away with billing me without billing Medicare first. At least she is willing to work along with me and is resending the bill to Medicare and Blue Cross...oy....what a headache.

Edgepark rant....just went thruold orders...

They run my order thru my 1st insurance and then they are supposed to run it thru my secondary. I just recently found out that the primary does not pay for M9 room spray...but my secondary has a clause that stated if my supplier billed thru primary the secondary would pick up everything left over....even if the left over amount due contained primary denied items.. Edgepark has not been doing that. Since primary won't pay they bill it directly to secondary. Which means I pick up the deductible. Which is more out of pocket for me. I don't care if its only 3.00 or 10.00...that's money I can use for my Remicade infusion or methotrexate.

Arrrrggggh. Now I am going to research to see if I can get any of that money back... Not looking forward to the long hold time....

Sometimes it seems as though I spend all my time rechecking what billing does..lol..

Congratulations!!! Wow you got a quick response...And a refund from Medicare....that is a miracle!!

There is just something wrong when you can get so upset at a company that you send your guts off into mini flare land and your ostomy starts thinking it is a darn firehose!

Edgepark said it is their policy to not process the order thru my primary when my primary will deny it-- they already know it will be denied so it is wasted effort for them. So I asked about the legality of running a claim thru secondary without running thru primary first. She is having a supervisor call me back. (I think this is like someone who sold you a bridge supposedly calling you back...lol)

That female said...I don't know what the big deal is it is only a few dollars.

Aaaaaggghh... Gotta go eat some marshmallows.....

(Its sorta hard to sound tough when you are chomping down handfuls of marshmallows...lol)

Off subject a little....but...

I too have a RVF. Mine is very low and it is so large even I can see it. (At least we don't have to keep looking for it..) Even with the ostomy I have mucus that I have to clean up (take a shower) 3 or 4 times a day. I understand what you are saying. We too are leaving mine alone until we absolutely have to do something....and even then they are hesitant to operate. Have any of your doctors ever told you that if you don't get the RVF repaired it will continue to grow larger?

I have not asked my doctor that question. There was someone on another forum that said something to that affect. I don't go in until July.....so just wondering if you had ever heard anything...
