I am a year out from my ilieostomy and have a huge craving for saurkraut (I am Ukrainian hahaha). Has anyone had issues with eating cabbage of any sorts? I wouldn’t eat a big amount...

Not at all. Perhaps a bit more gas but nothing terrible. Try it and see how it goes.

I'm Polish! I eat kielbasa and sauerkraut at Christmas and Easter. Also had corned beef and cabbage on St. Patty's Day....no problems. Only thing, and I am sure your surgeon reminded you of this, chew, chew and chew some more. Enjoy!

I have always had challenges with cabbage causing gas. I say try a little and see if it causes you issues. If not, go for it!

I love cabbage!!!! I eat it all the time. It does cause more gas, but that's it. Just chew well... I'm not even that careful about
chewing, to be honest. You name it, coleslaw, sauerkraut... I love them!

Gassy but ok... Just cooked it a long time...but gosh after years of not having any...it was wonderful.
Next I am trying sauerkraut and then Brussels sprouts!
Thanks all!
