Personally I prefer the kind of pouches with clamps instead of velcro.
If you position the clamp so it's directly under the fabric then you will end up left with the entire neck not being 'poopy'.
After removing the clamp, flip the neck inside out and continue to do so until you get to the area where the 'poo' starts to show - I sit on the toilet when I'm doing this because it's much easier.
Then just aim into the toilet and empty the bag.
Once finished, all it needs is to be wiped with a babywipe - I usually wipe inside of it a little ways just to make sure the entire neck remains clean.
After you're totally done just unfold it and re-clamp it. You're good to go and -never- have to worry about
the 'poopy neck'.
If this descript
ion is confusing (it's kinda hard to put into words) and anyone genuinely wants to know what I mean then let me know and I'll take pictures to explain better.
I've only had my ostomy for almost 4 weeks now and I was really grossed out by the 'poopy neck' until I discovered this method.
Hope it helps !
