Air travel with Ostomy Bag

Hi, Next week I will be travelling to India and it will be my first flight since I had illiostomy surgery and ostomy bag. Just wanted to know if I need to take any precautions before flying and during the flight and also if I need to show anything to TSA during screening.
I have heard that some people had some issues with the bag leaking or explodes during compressed air in the flight cabin and I am bit worried if that happens to me?

Wow I have never heard of bags exploding. That would be really bad. I hope this doesn't happen.

I would definitely take more than enough supplies for when you do have to change.

I keep a box of large pouches on hand for flying. The larger pouch allows less emptying but otherwise I've never had any issues. I've also never been questioned on my supplies in baggage checks. I precut the wafers ahead of time (no scissors) and also locate a pharmacy that sells ostomy products where I'm traveling to just in case. If you have success with a filtered pouch it will also help with the bag becoming a balloon smile

I fly often. Suggest you empty right before taking off. I perfer an aisle seat so as to frequently stretch or use the rest room. Never heard of a pouch exploding but heard from an Ostomate that her stoma excessively protruded — all she did was applied ice .
All I can say is sit back, relax and enjoy yourself .....😎
