What you say makes sense to me. If they are scoping the stoma, and the backside is disconnected, I don't see why they would want her to do a rectal enema, but I would insist on speaking to someone. They should really give you more detailed information.
I don't know how you would do an enema in a stoma, or what it would do? I haven't heard of that.
I've had an anuscope of my pouch and I didn't have to prep for that. I've had surgery with a stoma and I was told to not eat the day before. I didn't prep or do any type of enema.
