Ileorectal anastomoses rectal odor

I am almost 3 months out from my surgery, ileorectal anastomoses, and have been back at work for a month. Others have noticed a horrible odor sometimes before I have a bowel movement and sometimes after. I cannot smell it at all!!! It is debilitating to me at work. It is making me so self conscious that now I feel like I smell every second of the day. I have had terrible bouts of diarrhea, but have started on as many as 12-16 Imodium a day, which help some of the time. My Dr is somewhat baffled by it ( the smell) I see him again this week, thank God. I am thinking I have to quit working even though I can’t afford to, but it’s really embarrassing and people are actually making fun of me, not supporting me. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem or has any idea what could be happening.
