Please help - Is it normal to pass a little (fresh) blood after an ileostomy?

Hi! Can anyone tell me if it is normal to pass a little blood from the rectal area after an ileostomy (I had mine in Feburary) I know about passing mucous, today is the first time I pass a little fresh blood. After many long and painful bouts with CD and a failed J Pouch. I am trying hard to take care of myself before things get out of hand. Some GI doctors I run into were not very helpful at all. Thanks to all of you who get on this board and share your opinion.

Yes this is normal. It's the sign of healthy tissue. I don't understand why surgeons don't tell us to expect this? Don't be worried.
