Pregnant, Have questions

    I was wondering if anyone there has had a baby with there Ostomy. I have had an ileostomy for just over a yr, and have had CD for 21......I am 10 weeks pregnant right now, and besides the worry, I am extremely HAPPY.... I had some question for my Doc but hes never had a patient with an ostomy that has had a baby, So i was hoping somebody could give me a heads up. Is there anything i should watch for....and how do you empty it when you get really big....bc where mine sits it seems that it will be really high on my belly as it grows. I would love to hear any stories, or receive any advice. Thanks so much,

Yes, many women have gone through childbirth with an ostomy.  If you jump over to www.j-pouch.org you can ask this question on that board.  I know that one poster, Janna, had a baby last year and she has a permanent ostomy.
