Just wondering how many UK and especially bristol folk or south west peeps use the site. love coming on here already. it's just so nice to be among fellow ostomates.

Im from the UK, and from south west :) Its brilliant on here, thanks to every1, im 17 and have recently had an ileostomy and i do get upset about it but people on here cheer me up :) Liam x

Hi Firthy, i'm a lot older than you i'm 42 with kids your age, but it's nice to know there are other folk from my part of the world on here too. Sorry to hear you get upset about having an ileo, (who wouldn't) but nice to know there is a terrific support group. Thanks for the j pouch address sue, i'll check it out later. and any other support group addressess appreciated.

Thanks for your kind words, it's a great comfort to find people here in the UK to talk to aswell as those in the States.  You can obtain such a wide range of information on this site, it's absolutely brilliant.  Thanks to everyone that has given me advice and support.  I'm in sunny Eastbourne, I'm 35 and a single mum to a nearly 4 year old - life is a real challenge at times when things like UC and ileostomies at thrown at you!  Keep in touch, Amanda x

hi chip! if you're interested in meeting others, you should ask your surgeon or ET nurse (if they're called that there) about local support groups where you might meet some other ppl with the same condition. there is a local group here, although i haven't gone as of yet..
