DIVERTICULITIS

I ruptured in February and scheduled for a reversal next month....I'm doing a colonoscopy on Aug. 13th and if everything goes good, I'll have the reversal on the 14th.  My stomach seems swollen from time to time.  I also get nauseated a lot with pain from time to time in the right side.  The Dr. ran a test on my gallbladder this week, but it was in good shape.  He thought that might need to come out during my reversal.  He's now treating me for an ulcer.  I'm using a prescription - protonics.  Hopefully this will get my stomach back to feeling better.  Sometimes I seem swollen right before a bowel movement.  I've always had problems with IBS.  I hope everything goes good for you.

I am no doctor but your eating spicy and friend foods probably has something to do with the swelling :)

I had my reversal done on June 20th after rupture in March. Eating with any kind of ostomy is a trial and error deal. Each person will be different and food reations will be different. Good luck with your next surgery and know that it does get better............ :)
