post up what you pay [before taxes] for your flanges and bags, where you buy & brand...

flanges-hollister new image-$48/5

bags-hollister new image-$110/20

from "national home healthcare" here in kitchener, ontario.  cheapest in town.

with the canadian dollar doing so well over here, it could be really advantageous to shop elsewhere, although i have no idea if my insurance would cover it if i bought in the usa.  i'm curious what everyone pays though!

I believe I use the same as you... Hollister New Image. I get them from Edgepark which is more expensive than yours I guess, but insurance covers it.

My insurance informed me 2 months after my temp ostomy (when I was no longer in need of supplies) that they dont pay a cent for ostomy supplies. Also they gave me the name of 2 places that give united healthcare 40% discounts....I was like thanks for letting me know 2 months later when I odnt need them anymore!

Hi,check it out if you can use the stoma as a tax break in Canada.I heard that they give you a tax credit.How true it is I can't say for sure,but I did hear it.

yeah here in canada we get $600/yr from the government, and my insurance does cover 80%, but that means i'm still on the hook for 20%...that's why i'm wondering what everyone else is paying, so i can find the cheapest place!

In Australia, we're so lucky, the govt pays for all our supplies so we get them free :)

Ontario pays $600.00 a year in 2 payments for permanent ostomy supplies
