I am going through another Sitz marker and I was just wondering about those that have had a TC what their results revealed.  Did you pass any rings?  How was the study performed...how many days did it go on.  I last gave myself an enema on Friday.  I took the pill Monday night, I had another x-ray today, one Friday, then one Monday again.  I am on day 5 now, still no bm...surprise, surprise.

I haven't had my TC yet (scheduled for 9/10), but I did have a Sitz marker test done. I cleaned out on Friday and took the pill the following Monday. We did three x-rays on day one and then I went back each day after that. By that Friday, I still had 19 markers. The only reason I passed the other five was from eating some bad Chinese food. Hmm...maybe I should go back there again. I then went for my final x-ray the following Monday and nothing had changed.

Before I had my ileostomy they did the marker test and after 1 wk. I hadn't passed any.  I also had the barium test and didn't past that either.  within 3 mo. I had surgery.

Irish_Mom, did you have your colon resection because of motility issues?  Just wondering why you are having a TC...is it because of constipation?

I had the resection done because of chronic diverticulitis with fissures to the bladder. Before that surgery I had no problems with BMs, but since then I can't go. During that surgery he also did a rectal amputation, so having the TC is going to be interesting. He normally does the anastomosis to the sigmoid, but that was removed during the resection.
