i think those would be just thigh highs, hozzer. they are called hold-ups? that would make me think of a robbery, lol.
I ended up cutting the top of a pair of hose that were a little too big and just wearing the top, sort of like a girdle thing, just to help keep the bag from flopping. it worked pretty good

it was sooooo boring! but there was this super good dessert (which yippe i could eat!) and it was so good i was trying to figure out how to get the uneaten ones off the other tables, lol.
then i had some really good starwberry redvelvet cake after that, cause i didn't eat much at real dinner.
which, just so ya'll know, if you eat something red like that ( ithink most of you do know this though) you are NOT bleeding to death, lol

Hey! Some advice:

I've taken to wearing tight strap tops tucked or pinned down to my underwear underneath whatever shirt or dress I'm wearing to hold everything in.. It seems to work pretty well :) And why not wear tights (hose) on your hips, underneath the stoma?

Also I've found that things with prints are good at disguising bags, even if you're wearing a shirt with a pattern or picture on the opposite side to the stoma.

Another thing is/are tops or dresses that are gathered/ruched at the hip, especially if it's the stoma side as the folds will disguise the bag; and in England at the moment there's a huge fashion for smocky-type tops which are gathered at the bust and then loose and baggy down from there. They're good if you wear a tight vest underneath, or even without.

(sorry, long link!) Which looks like a cool idea; and yesterday there was a lady on there who sews bag covers in funky materials, like pillowcases for your bag! But she's disappeared.. still, it's always worth looking..

I was at Old Navy over the weekend, and their fall clothes are perfect for ostomates!! All of their women's tops are tighter around the top and baggy around the waist! I was so excited that I bought two identical tops in different colors.

i really dont' have alot of probelms with my shirts, you are gonna laugh at me, btu that's what this whole thread is about, lol. I take my tops and stretch the bottoms out, then i don't have any problems. My son thinks it is so funny to see my strech my shirt when i am putting it on.

for those of you who didnt' hear this, the one dress that was supposed to ship in December, the one i really liked, came yesterday! so i now have ALL the dresses! and i gotta tell you, that is the ugliest dress on! UGH!
