ileostomy prep...how much did u guys take?

ok im taking my prep and i dont think i can tolerate much more i'm 5'2 115lbs. How much do you guys think its necessary i take? I think i have to lay down i dont feel good

you have to have it until your stuff is clear, but they will give you an enema the morning of to make sure it's all gone

think of it this way, this is the LAST time i eve have to do this again!

Even when I had been in the hospital for 2 weeks and not eating, they still had me do the prep! I had nothing in me to clean out and it was miserable, just lay down and take it easy. The day before my second step I only had to eat clear liquids, no more prep! Good luck!

Sorry, I cannot help you. I did not have to prep. I was in the hospital 11 days before they decided to do my surgery. The first week in the hospital, I was not allowed to have anything but my IV fluids, and then the following 6 days I was given clear broth and jello only. So, I guess I had an 11 day prep...YUCK. I have not had jello since my surgery..LOL

i know i refuse to ever eat jello again! too many times in the hospital!
are you taking the pills or the drink
