bumps on stoma

Hello I talked to my ET nurse today and I saw some bumps on my stoma. I heard that is normal.

He said that is from the colitis.

How do I get rid of it?

I have bumps on my stoma too, I think it's just the make-up of the intestines. I wouldn't think that the surgeon would leave an area that was inflamed with Colitis. If you have UC the small intestines aren't affected by colitis therefore your stoma is normal. I wouldn't worry about it.

I had little white bumps on the side of my stoma that eventually went away. They occurred for the first 3 months that I was post-op. They did not hurt or anything...they just looked strange and made me nervous but all was well and normal with me.
