I am finding it hard to breathe and my stomach is becoming more huge and rock hard? whats that?

Hi, I have ci and i am awaiting to find out if surgery could be a possible solution for my chronic pain and constipation. I can barely eat but i'm swelling more and more everyday. Today I 'm finding i have shortness of my breath and my belly is turning really hard and heavy? I am scared gonna call dr. 2morow.... has anyone experienced that before surgery??????????? I'm very angry I just want this to be over.... heather

I replyed to your other post. and yes that happen to me also. my hands were so swallen i didnt wear my wedding ring anymore. and i was always short of breath and i felt full inside before i even ate. i ate less then i had in years and still was gaining and still felt full all the time. I felt full in the afternoon after not eating yet for that day. I know two other people close to me who have the same thing. they have kids with disablites and they cant talk but the way the parents know how miserable they are is by how they stop eating. both are going to need surgery but not sure when they will get it done. they are just holding on to see how i come out of it really. but i am doing great. so they might put their children thru it now. it is WORTH IT to me...........BIG TIME

I had my colon removed for colonic inertia. I know how awful the pain and constipation can be. On one occasion before I had the surgery I also swelled, had a rock hard stomach and had trouble breathing. It turned out I had an obstruction and had to be admitted to the hospital. If you have a fever or are vomiting I would go to the ER immediately.
