anyone have any suggestions for a really good air freshener? my whole house seems to smell after i empty my bag and the glade one i have isnt cutting it. also, maybe a mini one i can carry in my purse once i start leaving the house...

I would start by putting some M9 drops in your bag. Once I did that, the smell went down considerably! Some say that peroxide works, but it didn't for me. I also use the M9 room spray BEFORE I empty if it's somewhere I am overly concerned about. They make purse size containers....

Glade's apple cinnamon is all I've found that completely obliterates the smell. No other fragrances by Glade or spritzing perfume worked for me. Don't even have to burn candles anymore.

3% Hydrogen Peroxide works for me (no stronger than the 3%). A few drops in my bag each time I empty and next time I empty there is no smell, not even any smell to cover up the smell lol. I love it!

I agree that the first line of defense against odor is to put deodorizer drops in the bag first. Then, your Glade Plug in won't have to work so hard. :-)

You can purchase deodorizers at the same time you order your supplies, but they are pricey, if your insurance doesn't cover the cost. So, Shaz's suggestion of putting a capful of 3% hydrogen peroxide in the pouch after you empty is the most affordable and effective way to go. Mouthwash works, too!

I use a product called Ostofresh that works really, really well for me. It eliminates the smell and can be purchased at your DME supplier as well. My insurance covers most of it... Let us know what works for you.

I use one of those "real orange" fresheners and put a quick spray into the toilet water before I empty. Sometimes I am just to lazy to get the deoderizer drops out!

light a match, or before you use the toilet, light a candle in the bathroom, then when you blow it out after you get done, the smell is gone.
I saw this stuff called courtesy flush in bed bath and beyond but i was embarssed to buy it there so i am going to look for it on the internet
