Go to the manufacturers websites and order as many free samples as you can from them.
The main ones are:

What works well for one person may not work for you. Unfortunately, the only way to find the best appliance for you is to experiment with samples.
Always pack a couple of changes in your carry-on luggage (in case you end up in India but your baggage ends up in Yugoslavia!). Don't carry scissors on board - precut everything before you go. If you use tape, cut lengths of tape and stick them on a plastic zip lock baggy, then just peel them off and use as needed.
I never take any special precautions when traveling on a plane, I eat and drink as normal and have never had a problem. I've only ever had to change on a plane once and tho the loos are small, it's quite manageable.
Most important tip? Have fun and enjoy! Your stoma will just go along for the ride :)
Good luck!
