Not Ostomy related, but, need some sympathy

cry    My doggie died yesterday.

She was diagnosed with Cancer (Canine Lymphoma) in January. We've been going through Chemo, and she's been responding well. She acted a little off this week, so we took her to the vet, and he said she had pancreatitis, but would be fine. Well, she had a heart attack yesterday afternoon. Her body just gave out.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss.  I lost a cat last year and it still pains me.  Pets are such great sources of unconditional love and losing them leaves an empty place in our hearts.

The loss of a pet is always hard, I am so sorry!  You know you did everything you could for her and she is okay is doggie heaven...you'll never forget her.

I feel for you. One of my cat's lived for 18 years. The last year of her life, I had fluids drained from her belly from congested heart failure. It got harder and harder to drain the fluids. Eventually she quit eating. It was very hard. She and I spent 18 years together. I felt like she was my daughter. It was one of the hardest times in my life losing her in 2000. Hang in there.

Oh no i am so sorry, but she will be happy in doggie heaven and not in any pain with plenty of bones and balls to chase. We had to put our dog to sleep recently, we found out he had something sort of like alzheimers as a result of the mean people who had him before us not feedign him or giving him heart worm pills, he had stage 4b heartworms when we got him, and his brain wasn't gettign enough oxygen, and making the decision to put him to sleep was the absolute hardest (even harder than deciding on the ostomy) decision i have ever made in my life. But i got through it by knowing he would be happy and not scared and in pain anymore.
Try to keep those thoughts in your head and i will thinking of you and your dog,

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Losing a pet is a heartbreaking experience; we lost both of our little doxies in the last 2 years and we still miss them so much.  The pain does lessen over time, but you never forget them.  At least you know you did everything you could for her, and loved her so much.  I'm sure she knew that too.

Joann, I know how you feeling having lost a couple of dogs throughout the years. I dread the day one of my kitties decides it's time to go - they're my kids. I'm thinking of you.

Just wanted to give you a ((hug)) and let you know that I am thinking of you.

I had a Bichon for 13 years and had to have her put to sleep in '05, 2 weeks before my mom passed away (I was her sole caregiver). My dog WAS my daughter. It was a really, really tough time for me. I had her cremated and she is still with us - she will always be in my heart.

I am so sorry for you. I do sympathize.
