Question about reversals

Hey everyone! I had ulcerative colitis and decided to have the surgery seeing as no medicine was working. i had the first step of surgery on July 8th. Since then ive had three hospital stays for blockages. My reversal is scheduled for Oct 7... almost there, but im starting to have symptoms of another blockage (they're due to a kink in my intestine right behind my stoma. I have a red rubber cathater inserted into my stoma to try and keep the passage open, each time i go in the cathater gets bigger) I talked to my doctor and he's really trying to wait until the 7th to do the reversal, but he said if i end up in the hospital agian before then he's just going to do reverse the ostomy. So i guess my question is has anyone had their reversal done before the three month period was up and does everything work alright? Im hestitant to have the reversal early because im afraid my j-pouch isnt ready to work. Any help would be appreciated!

I had mine after 8 weeks. My doctor only suggested a two month wait, so I would assume you have a good chance of everything being fine. Also, they do jpouch surgeries in ONE step, so it must be okay, right? ;)
