Hi folks,
I'm curious.
Putting all insurances aside. Approximately how much would you think you would spend in Ostomy Products per year? TOTAL - Rough guess. Pouches, Flanges and extras like powder and ointments etc? Everything.
I'm asking this favor because I came in contact with a manufacturer that could offer us a much better price at a retail level. From the figures he gave me, we could be wearing very comfortable ostomy flanges and pouches between $300.00 to $400 per year.
So as a comparison I'm curious as to how much you folks spend. Without insurances in the game. However your government grant counts if you get one. I get $600 per year. And I spend $1000.00 approximately each year. That includes the grant.
How about
you?
Thanking you in advance,
Lonnie

I spend about $25 a year joining the Australian Ostomy Association and get all my supplies and magazines free from them :)

Gee! Can I join? But somebody must pay the big ticket. This association must be financed in some form. Government? Alright let's put the association aside then. Now how much would you require to spend?

Yep, the government pays for ostomy supplies here. I have no idea how much I'd have to spend if I had to pay for supplies. I don't know the cost of supplies here.

If my supplies weren't covered by insurance, I would probably spend about $1,000 a year. Tom, you can find M9 drops on eBay for a good price.

My insurance doesn't cover ostomy supplies. So, I spend about $1,500/year.

Tom- There have been a lot of posts here in regards to M9 drops. Try using Listerine or peroxide instead. After using M9 drops for about
12 years, I took someone's advice here and switched to using mouthwash(the yellow Listerine type). It works just as well, and has saved me a small fortune over the years.
