Just wondering with my impending reversal coming up.  Would the recovery be easier having had the rest from the resection by having an ileostomy? or am I just living in hope smilewinkgrin

ps.  I took my son to a soft play place today and crawled over it and down slides with him I'm over the moon about it as I have been so poorly for so long and even with the ileostomy only just dared to venture out after leak problems being sorted, there really is hope :-)

I don't much about reversals, since I have a permanent ileostomy, but I just wanted to say how happy I am that you were able to venture out and have some fun with your son! woo hoo! smilewinkgrin

At least for me a reversal was MUCH easier...I am so glad you are able to get out with your son now. Isn't it great?!! I remember not being able to do anything with my daughter when she was young...I think I do more than most mom's now because I CAN!! I'm taking her snowboarding tomorrow:)!!!

Oh yes :-)   the guilt I have felt from not being able to take him out was overwhelming I even had to get my parents to take him out just so he got out.  I have so much making up to do it's a pity I've got to go through another op just as I'm getting on my feet but I'm grateful I just hope it all works.  Snowboarding sounds excellent I hope you both have a great time :-)
