Ok I already regret the title haha.  I'm not paranoid well not always but I swear sometimes I can smell it like I have a leak but when I check everything seems in order.  Considering these pouches are meant to be odour proof (I'm using convex) what is going on? There is a faint possibility it's my toddler letting wind but I'm sure I've smelt it when he's been no where near and it can be very strong.  Any ideas? many thanks :-)

If you're using a 2 piece system, it's probable that a little gas made it's way out if your appliance was under any pressure. Use an ostomy deoderant , peroxide, or mouthwash and I bet it stops. If it continues, it's probably not you!.

My daughter used M9. You can have someone else check for smells. It could just be it lingers in your nostrils (and then in your mind) after emptying. Or just always have your toddler nearby and blame him! tongue

The bad, bad smell really has a lot to do with what you eat. Yesterday I had an egg biscuit. LOL!!! Ugh!! I try to keep a can of Oust in bathrooms, bedrooms and etc. Sometimes I put ConvaTec drops in the bag or peroxide or tic-tacs. But remember everyone's bms smell some,so don't be so hard on yourself.

Another thing to check is the tail of your pouch. Make sure you get the end clean or a smell could come from that area...

Thanks all, I think it's coming from the filter.  I haven't smelt it since I wonder if it's because I ate loads of veg having just brought a croc pot.  Anyway I'm changing it tonight so I will see if anything untowards going on under the flange.

sometimes if i have a whole lot of gas i will catch a whiff, esp if its from something like fish!  i just wait until the gas and the output from the smelly food is gone and change just the bag, not the whole thing.
