so i just randomly thought of this, and i am sure noone else will find it nearly as amusing as i did, but i thought i would share anyway.

You know the old phrase, "i'm gonna burst if i dont go to the bathroom soon"

now while that is about pee, i realized that that could literally happen to us.

If we let our bags get to full, they literally could burst, or explode!

Just my twisted sense of humor!

No, I think that's great!!!

Since I got UC our big thing is the comment "such a pain in the ass" : ) Ironically UC is a BIG pain in the ass!!!

Summer,
Have you actually had that happen ever? Mine gets really full of gas in the middle of the night. Usually I just burp it. It's so nice to not have to run to the toilet 10 x a night. I love that.

not yet, i am hoping it doesnt ever happen!
if it does happen its most likely to happen when i spend the night at my friend's house on friday nights, can't be driving home drunk, that's a NO NO!
and the alochol (taking a page from you and not even attempting to spell that, lol i have themost trouble with that word!) seems to give me awful gas.

Another one that i found funny was the saying, "opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one"

Here's a funny...I was watching HGTV yesterday and they were installing a toilet...the funny came when the tv person was saying the the "wax seal is the important part of the installation..." It reminded (hole/seal/apparatus to catch waste...) me of the importance of getting the "good seal" when applying a wafer/pouch!

it's so funny when stuff like that makes me laugh cause noone else has any idea what i am laughign about, and then i have to come up to some way to explain why i thought it was funny

So far I've been pretty open about my choice for the ostomy. I understand that this is completely out of my control, and I'm not embarassed. Most people who know me know that I've been sick and struggling...so it's only natural for them to know about my surgery and ostomy.

Anyway...I'm sure there will be new funny moments for me once I've joined your Cool Club. : ) I do love the opinion and butthole comment...I will no longer have one, but my opinion is going NOWHERE!

Oh, and Leah the alcohol spelling issue happens to me too...I had to bust butt and get to burned into my brian though b/c I teach the Substance Abuse Traffic Offenders Program classes, which for the state of Missouri is what one needs to go through when they receive a DUI/DWI. : ) So yep...I'm sure I'd look awfully compitent up there mispelling something like that! I'm glad to hear you're a responsible drinker!!! : )

yep a very responsible drinker! responsible for keepign up with my cup andmaking sure it's full.

I have a hilarious (that word gets me too) image of you up there at theboard trying to spell alcohol at a DUI class and all those people looking at you like what is wrong with you lady! kind of like dan quayle and the potatoE thing, lol.

In my neck of the woods we say there's a corn cob up their butt. : ) But the bug in the butt is pretty good too. : )

And for my issue with the alcohol spelling...yeah...though I have that one under control there are still many others I goof up on...like ecstacy...ectasy...ecstasy? Anyway, it's retarded. I do look like a big fool. : ) What was funnier...at least to me...was when I was in my second and third trimester of pregnancy teaching these classes b/c I share personal stories of my drinking and alcohol abuse days. Oh, and by that point I wasn't really fitting the super cute (affordable) maternity clothes anymore, so I was really all Mommied out by that point with the tie back tops and capris. So typical.

As I proof read my entries I am learning that I forget the silliest words like 'are'...'is'...'of'...'the'.

"Is that an ostomy bag in your pants, or are you just happy to see me."
"Is that your stoma sticking out, or........."

Occasionally my DH would say that "you are a pain in the ***" when I nagged him to do something, jokeingly of course. "NOT anymore" was Always my answer!!!! When anyone within ear distance says that phrase (pain in the ***), I always have to chuckle!
