gastrografin tests....

Tomorrow, i'm supposed to have some gastrografin studies done. What can I expect?? I'm hoping they will give me something to help me relax beforehand. I'm really worried. This is in preparation for getting my ileostomy reversed. I talked with the surgeon today, and found out it is definitely an ileostomy. Also, I'm going to use the surgeon I got a second opinion from. I feel more comfortable with him than the one who did my original surgery. Plus he works with the wound care center, that I will be going to post op. I will not go back to the one at the hospital I work at.

thank you!! all went well with one minor exception. My cell phone went swimming, while I was getting dressed after the test. I had a scrub top on, and when I went to put it on, it fell out of the pocket into the toilet. <G> It worked sorta on friday, and did work on saturday, but sunday I could call out, but no one could hear me. So I got a new phone today.

I got a call from the surgeon who ordered the test today, but I'm not going to have him do the reversal. I've got to call and talk to the one who I want to do the reversal, about insurance problems. i'm going to call back the first one tomorrow and let him know, I've changed my mind about him doing it.

I went to get a new phone monday, well my contract isn't up until June, so I would have had to pay for a new one, or get a replacement for the one I had, for $50, the insurance deductible. I ended up renewing my dad's contract, and taking the new phone, and promising him, i'll renew my contract in June, and he can get a new phone then.
