From a one piecer to a two piecer.

I'm enjoying my appliance now. As much as one can enjoy a sack of poo hanging from their belly. :roll:
I very much like to take off the bag and clean the stoma. AND I've been wearing this wafer since Thurs. and it's still holding strong.
Except for the first night pop-off incident, it's worked out great. It feels comfy and no leaks.
I'm using the sensura click. It's smaller than the first two piece I tried. I haven't even tried my asurra or sensura flex yet or the extended wafers! I bet I'll like them even better.
The only problem I've noticed is that an odor leaks through. When I undress, I get a whiff of it and I never did with a one piece. I've been using the adapt gel stuff, but not everytime b/c I only have samples until my order comes in. Any thoughts as to why the odor? Is is just b/c it leaks through the connection? The bag still fills up with gas, so the leaks not that big. Or do I need to change the bag? How do I know when to change the bag?

Too bad I just ordered one pieces last week. I have to wait until they are almost gone b4 I can order again. :(

That is hilarious!! tongue I'm glad you're enjoying the two piece appliance.

Regarding your questions, you should not have any odor or leaks. Make sure you have a good seal from skin to wafer and wafer to pouch. Listen for the 'click' sound when you snap the pouch onto the wafer, then lock it on. Are you using any deodorant in the pouch? A little bit of mouthwash works well.

I put on a fresh pouch when I notice some breakdown around the velcro closure, which is around 3-4 days.

Hey Chassity, you don't have to wait to use up your one pieces...just return them! I've done that many times in the past. I always order the new ones I want, call my distributor and let them know I have FULL boxes to return, they give me a return authorization and I send them back in the box the good ones came it...you will have to keep any open product, but I keep that stuff for emergencies and just use the ones I want.

As far as odor goes, try a deodorant like Cece said and make sure you get the tail clean...if there is anything left in that the smell could waif out...SO GLAD you are happy with them:)
