HUGE gas and left side pain

my goodness. From about noontime today, I've had the most gas ever. The bag keeps filling up and I keep emptying it. I'm too new to put one on without the nurse--she will come tomorrow and I have a sample with a filter.

Any ideas what's going on? I'm using the gas x which is a good help. I can't really find anything in my diet that was particularly gassy. At least it's coming out. But I'm so afraid the bag will burst. Going to set my alarm to wake up and empty it --well, I've been getting up anyway.

In other news, saw the surgeon today. Gave me some low dose percaset---thank goodness!! The pain was getting unbearable. Took out the abdominal sutres and some of the rectal but now I have to have a Visiting Nurse everyday for a while to pack the rectum wound.

Any ideas on the left side pain, tenderness? It's not gas and surgeon was a little stumped too.

I'd suggest walking...A LOT...it will help things move through. Some filters work really well, and some are just okay, so try several brands to find the one you prefer. Also, you can burp it from the bottom (be careful, tho) by holding the tail up and taking the clip off while it is pointed up...that's the important part.. POINTED UP!!

It does settle down, and as you start eating more it will get better, Summerstorm is right!!
