The ET nurses recommended me using a belt. I find when sitting down it keeps wanting to roll up or slide up. Maybe too loose? or too tight? I think I have a good fit..... I went from leaking every 4 to 5 hours to now 34 hours......Im excited. Anyone have any advice on the belt.

For me, the tighter the better...I found I only need them post-op. Glad to hear you've gone 34 hours!

Yes, its 7 am and at 9am it will be 48 hours for me which has been the best time yet. It was definately the eakin seal. except instead of them putting it all the way around they just tore of pieces and put where the rods were to fill in the gaps. Its so relieving. I am wondering though...... do you guys think I should change this at 3 days or see if it goes til the 4th day. Im afraid to push it but your suppose to be able to wear it 3 to 4 days.

belt is useless IMO. my job is faily active. I go to the gym daily, snowmobile, atv, motocross, hunt, fish, etc and have \only found the belt a hindrance..

I kinda agree.... the belt rolls all the time and starts pulling on it. Now that we started using the eakin seal Im going to try to go without the belt and see what happens if not I will have to find a way but I would think with it pulling on it.....that it would make it worse.

I tried the belt in the beginnig just to see what it would be like. I hated it!!!It actually caused my appliance to come off. It's now in a landfill somewhere! I think you need a better informed ET nurse. Just like anything else....some are good, and some....not so much!
