Hi there! I had my proctocolectomy Feb.06th...my three month anniversay is in a couple days!!! : ) Anyway, I too have sampling all sorts of bags and styles ('accessories' I say). For a while I was dedicated to ConvaTech two-piece click system, but I learned to hate the skin barriers. They popped on me all the time! I found the entire system comfortable and I loved the emptying system, but they just weren't reliable. I then tried the Coloplast two-piece system, and just felt it was a cheaper, more plastic-like system that wasn't my favorite at all. I most recently realized that I did not trust a two-piece system, as I have a toddler that climbs on me and I rough-house with, so I was constantly nervous about
breakage. SO...I am now liking the Hollister one piece system 88300. I do feel they have to be changed more frequently than a two-piece but overall I am more comfortable and at ease with my accessory. I also feel they are more durable during my workouts and activities. I think I'm pushing these skin barriers too far, as my skin gets a little irritated and the wafers leak around Penelope (my stoma).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pouches you've decided on. I have loads of pouches and hardly any wafers of the ConvaTech pouches b/c they are not reliable! So, that was a waste of money. I've put in a large order of the Hollister ones I'm liking, so hopefully they'll be more worth while.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! : )
