Issues with a bag

So I have just switched over to Coloplast 2 piece, I like that the flange part is plastic.  But last night I was getting ready for bed and stood up and the bag literally fell off, no warning.  Has this happened to anyone else.  It had only been on 2 days, I had gone for a run and it was warm... but just to pop off like that.  It was a little unnerving, I noticed that at work today I was back to walking around with my hand over my ileostomy like I did when it first happened.  (I got the are you pregnant? look again)

Hi, That is my  worst nightmare of that happening i use safe seals around the flange which works brilliantly Bev x

my guess would be that there was another factor...soap? Skin Prep? Was it their extended wear version? I am pretty sure that some brands do not recommend the use of skin prep with their products for that factor...it won't stick.

I have been using the Coloplast 2-piece since I had surgery (about a year and a half ago), and really like them!

I had my bag fall off once also (than goodness I was at home!), but the reason it happened to me was because it was not snapped on right to begin with.

You know how the plastic ring on the bag snaps onto the plastic ring on the wafer, kind of like tupperware? Well, the ring part on my bag was not snapped on the whole way around (I missed a part on the bottom). Surprisingly, it stayed on for like 6 hours before falling off suddenly! Maybe this happened to you..?

I don't worry about it happening again--now I just take a mirror and MAKE SURE I can see that the part of the bag at the bottom of my stoma is snapped on tightly! :)
