New J-poucher with questions on new life

I just had my second surgery in March 09 and had my first and only experience with pouchitis in June. I have so many questions. Can you avoid pouchitis with probiotics? Is fibre really needed now since fibre helps food move in the large intestine that is no longer there? When can I apply for life insurance again without being rejected since I am now cured of UC? Does anyone really get pregnant after the surgery without artificial insemination?

Hey Charlie! I know there are some people with j-pouches on this site, but there are even more on j-pouch.org.

I do know that you can get pregnant with a j-pouch. It's just that studies have shown fertility to be decreased. I actually read a poll that suggested j-pouch women who got acupunture to get pregnant had an easier time.
