Prednisone and blurred vision

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone on steroids but I feel like my eyesight is not as clear from a distance. I am having a hard time seeing things that are far. I was watching world poker tour- lol- and had to squint in order to see the players cards. Does anyone know if this is a side effect? or even a long term side effect from 6MP- i took it for 4 years. any input would be helpful. thanks

Steroids can cause a variety of eye problems, including cataracts and glaucoma. If you're on steroids periodically, you really should be checked by an opthalmologist yearly.

UC can also cause eye problems. Before surgery my prescription was -675 and -650 a year after surgery its -550 and -525
So tht could be part of your problem also.

My eyes changed markedly with the steroids and the crohn's. Then I am older every year and hey, maybe it's that. Had to get glasses, and seem to change them eachyear. This is expensive!! Now maybe things will settle down. No steroids, no crohn's--no glasses? would be nice
