Ugly Penelope (stoma)

So, I do love Penelope...I adore that she's here and she makes my life super easy and UC free.  However.  She is SO UGLY!!!!  I remember when I first got her, she was smooth and shiny.  But something's happened and now she's lumpy.  Why?

Do you guys have lumpy stomas?  Almost looks as though she has stoma acne that's turned into part of her.  It's not becoming. 

Why does this happen?  Is there something wrong with her?  The pictures I've seen of stomas are smooth and pretty like the what Penelope used to be.  I don't get it.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in with this b/c it's a concern of mine.

Mine is so lumpy and ugly too. I think it's normal. the pictures lie. They're kind of like super model stomas. You know, the rest of the people are lumpy, but the super models are in the magazines and make us all think we're supposed to look like them.
Same thing with super model stomas. They are the ones on the flat-non-scar-ridden stomachs. Non-existent.

Are you talking about polups? (sp??) Mine is covered in polups, has been since day 1..doc isn't too concerned

Mine is Bubbles and it is new, so it's smooth and shiny, but shrinking in diameter fast but sticks up high. Hope bubbles settles down soon.

I also feel that the pictures are super model stomas, if that's what they really are????  *shifty eyed face*    (they really should be a little more creative with the emoticons, but leave the smurf!)

So, I don't know...I'm just a little sad about Penelope becoming all witch's-nose-like on me...that's so not cool.  The stoma they showed me post-op was rubber and it sure didn't look lumpy.  Those darn super model stomas and unscared tummys have just made my bs list.  yeah

Lol mine looks ok its small red and shiny and doesnt pertrude out very much at all. As far as stoma's go I think mine could almost be a super model stoma lol but I do have lots of tummy scars though :-)

if mine is active it is flat, shiny and 'model like', but if its just waiting for something to do, it's wrinkled and small.

how can anyone think that a stoma s "pretty?".  Mine is huge probably 7" long and nearly two inches in diamater, and looks like an enormous slug.  It has some darker red spots rolleyes and is shiney unless covered withyou know what.  Ralph
