Still bladder problems 6 months later

I'm not sure who to go see. Should I talk to surgeon, "What have you done?!" or ask GP to refer me to Who?

I seem to have less control with my bladder than I used to. Can't push urine out. I am not explaining this well. Some muscles seem gone or useless now. I know I used to have them. I go to the bathroom and it just trickles out and then I think I'm done and wipe and more just trickles out. What's going on?

I do Keegle exercises and can stop flow. Sometimes when I least expect it and don't know it seems to just leak. Doesn't necessarily happen when jumping or something active but happens most often when I'm sitting and relaxed.

Anyone else have this happen? Any ideas on what to do about it. Any exercises you know that would help?

Almost a year ago, I had surgery for prolapses (including the bladder) and had a TVT sling put in. I was 100% fine after that surgery. I then had a low anterior resection (sigmoid removed and upper part of rectum - this past Dec.) and I had trouble going while in the hospital... I had the catheter in for 4 full days, and once they removed it.. I just had a weak urine stream and I can't "push" it out either. I also have to sit and just let it trickle.. and when I think I'm done, I wipe and more trickles out!

I told my uro-gyn post op, and they said it could take the bladder 6-8 months to recover from the trauma.. so I've been waiting.

For bladder problems six months out of surgery you should be seeing a urologist, not your surgeon.
