Ok, I have spoken to Lizzie through text. She is not doing well at all. She is having extreme joint pain and said she feels like she is dying. I am so sad for her and have no idea what is wrong with her. Even the doctors don't know. Her k-pouch is working fine thankfully. So, if anyone has any thoughts on what could be wrong with her, please reply. Also, please keep her in your prayers.

Tracy, Thanks for updating us on this thread. I did find another thread where Lizzie gives her update. I will have to check and see which topic. I think it was total colectomy 30+ (I forget what number we are up to now.) Things don't sound good from what she said. Prayers go out to Lizzie.
Best wishes for your upcoming appointment. Sounds like you got a good doc, Dr. Singh. You have done a good job doing your "homework".

It was total colectomy part 33 where Lizzie gives her update as of 3/25/10. It's hard to believe that she has been in so much difficulty for these past few years. The 20's are supposed to be the best years of a person's life. Looking back from 54, I see the 20's as being a "teenager." So unfair all of this is for her. I really hope the best for our friend. OMG that is just terrible to hear, that really breaks my heart and I don't really know a thing about
her. But my thoughts and prayers are with her.

I think about
Lizzie almost every day. We have to all keep praying for a miracle! They do happen and Lizzie certainly deserves one. I really think she can still get better! Lizzie if you read this and there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. I realize you don't know me but I have been following "your story" for quite a while now and praying for you. We have a few things in common; I am also from Grand Rapids, I was 20 when all of my "motility problems" started and I truly know how this illness can sap the life from a person. I am now 57 yr. old and altho things aren't perfect; they are quite a bit better. My doctor said that finally more attention is being paid to gastro-intestinal problems such as colonic inertia, psudo-obstruction, etc.. I think an answer for you is close; please try to keep faith and know that miracles do happen. We all love you and really want you to get well!

I have been thinking about
her a lot...It sounds like the pouch is fine but her body is fighting something else...I hope the docs can find it soon.
