I know yall were posting about this, and i read this just now

Hi all just wanted to let anyone who uses Hollister 2pc New Image Drainable Pouches #18113 - Lot 0B252 they are defective.
Where the pouch attaches to the ring (that attaches to the flange) it is not fully attached. If you look at the ring side at about 7/8 o’clock.

There were a few other people who posted that they had had the same problem.

Did you call the company? Did they confirm the whole lot sux?

i dont have the same style, i have 18103 and different lot numbers, so i dont know if mine will be affected or not, i have had these ones im using now for about 5 months, and it seems to be new ones.
But the people who said that, all called hollister and were getting new ones.

Summerstorm, I'm having problems but those aren't the lot number on mine. My lot numbers are 0L042 and the number on the skin barrier box is 14802 (I think).

Also, I wanted to let everyone know about this tape that my ostomy nurse recommended which she got from a friend of hers in FL who has an ostomy - Opsite Flexifix (2" X 10.9 yds). I cut four lengths and outline the skin barrier w/part of the tape over the top of the barrier that adheres to the skin with the other side ON my skin - I also overlap the ends of the tape on each side. It seems to add a sense of security to the whole thing and might help on those rare occassions when the seal fails.

cleo those problems where with the actual bags, so you are having problems with the flange?

My problems were with both. On the flanges the template to cut the hole weren't straight and also the tab that is supposed to let you know where the bottom of the flange is was many times facing the side of the flange.

i still dont know what tab you are talking about it doesnt matter how you put the flange on, in fact, its good to change the way you put it on, sometimes do it in a diamond shape sometimes in a square.
