Good day ladies and gents, I'm a 9 week old colostomy patient, with a 5 month reversal on schedule. The surgeon released me back to work 2 weeks ago. The first week back to work, everything seemed quite fine. My routine is to replace my wafer+bag every 4 to 5 days... well, oddly, around the 3rd day, I noticed that there was an odor... thinking it was a leak somewhere in the bag, i searched, and searched, and found
this. This was quite useful, but the odor depended on how much clothing I had. After a few days, I then figured out where the smell was coming from - the wafer's tape that seals on the skin. Now the obvious remedy was to replace it, but being only 2 days in, I feel the wafer's life wasn't well lasted... now my main question is... if there's a remedy to the odor, any way I can stop it from having this odd odor?
