Reversal good or bad?

So I have had my colostomy for just over a year. And I kinda HATE it. I don't feel comfortable in my own cloths and lately it seems that no matter what I wear the ostomy is always showing. I also seem to be having so much output lately that the bag wont hold it and I can't change it fast enough. Leading to disasters. I was just wondering if people who have had a reversal were glad they did it, how long was the recovery? My doctor wants me to wait for another year or so so I can finish school but I just want to get rid of it and get my life back to normal.

Hi I had my reversal of ileo 11 weeks ago and don't regret it one bit the day after the op I was up and about, though a week later I had a few complications with the drain but, I would do it all again to be bag free. At the beginning i felt like i was never out of the toilet but, it soon settled down with a bit of help from lomotil! I'm now back at work full time and never been happier! Bev x

Have you been tested for C-Diff? Are you in pain?
