Having a problem

For some reason or other my poop is building up around my stoma and not going down into the bag. My husband said I am not drinking enough water but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I now have a rash around the stoma. The poop oozed out and I had to change the bag. I am using the one piece Hollister. Now I put on the two piece Coloplast. Hopefully it will stick because I had to put barrier ointment on the rash. What am I doing wrong?

LOL yea when I eat hash browns or tater tots that happens ALL the time.
Also I use the powder if I have a rash then dust it off and then pat my skin dry with a paper towel. Then I apply an eakin seal to the sticky on the flange then with the bag already preattached to the flange I press and hold it on my skin for about a minute and press down fairly hard. afterward I use the belt thing that came with the 2 piece starter kit and put it on and tighten it and wear that for a few hours.

I get about a 6-8 wear time unless I do something that stresses my stomach. like last week I was moving a computer desk and the top part was kinda heavy and when I lifted it up I think I stretched my stomach to much and pulled on the flange. Woke up in the middle of the night and I noticed that part of the flange was "puffy". When I changed it I noticed the eakin seal got pushed to that side or something.
In the end I now use less eakin seal.
