Questions about new products...trying a bunch of different systems.

Because I've been having leaks under my wafer for the past week and a half (UGH), I'm guessing I may need some convexivity or something similar.  I contacted Convatec and had them send me some samples (I currently use 2-piece hollister with adapt paste), and I just got them in the mail today. I'm going to try them tomorrow, but here are some questions:

1. Do Eakin seals always come without a hole? Mine are just circles. Do you cut the hole yourself? And then just put it in place of where I would put the paste? And then put the wafer over top?

2. Can I use the Eakin seal with Hollister or Convatec? I kind of want to forego the new Convatec wafer and pouch for now (it's CLEAR, ugh...hopefully that's just cuz it's a sample) and use my usual Hollister.

3. The pouches I use with Hollister are mini-pouches, 9 inches before you roll up the bottom. It seems like no other company makes small pouches.  I can't stand these long ones from Convatec. Is there any way I can like roll it up or something?

3. 7in sounds fine, although that may be a little small. Why doesn't convatec have skin colored opaque bags? Who wants to look at poop!?? Plus I love that Hollister has like a soft covering that makes the bag not rustle and it feels nicer on your skin. The convatec ones seem so hospital-y. If like my shirt raised up and people saw my pouch I would feel so self conscoius. With Hollister I don't feel that way.

I use Convatec Surefit Natura "411802 base. It has a moldable section that forms around the stoma so you do not need an eakin. I did not like to have to cut to fit and this molds to make an exact seal around the stoma. The pouch I use is convatec 413312 . This is a big pouch 12in but there are several that will fit the base. I cover the base with a medium sure seal and get a weeks worth of wear time. I work outside and walk in the woods alot. Temps in Texas have been in the 90's and I am soaked with sweat head to toe after a walk...still no leaks. I would order samples and give this a try! No Leaks!

My only problem is that I am allergic to most adhesives, so I can't use sure seals or most regular barriers.  Right now I am using a non-adhesive barrier from Hollister that has an adhesive made of pectin on the back.  Does anyone know if Convatec or Coloplast has a similar product? Thankfully all that I've read about Eakin seals says that there are no known people with allergies to their products.
