Hollister 2 piece - how to cleanly change orientation of bag?

So I got the phoenix ostomy belt, changed my wafer today and put the bag horizontally. It really does add some bulk to the stomach area but gives a LOT of confidence.
I find poop doesn't all drain out if it's horizontally so I am now home and decided to flip my bag back to vertical.
BAD IDEA !!!
How do you change the orientation of the bag without dirtying up anything? Gosh, I ended up taking the bag off and putting a new on one. There goes a brand new bag :(

any ideas? I know the coloplast has that nice rotate and locking mechanism right?

Ucfree, it takes time and practice to change out the bag. I empty 1st, then get a gauze pad to wipe off any poop that may drip down the wafer, then replace the bag....

I have a phoenix belt, but do not like it. It is too tight number one and I don't see how wearing the bag sideways is "safe". I mean, it seems like we need gravity to make the poop drop down into the bag???? How did it work for you?

i still dont know how to change just the bag without making a mess! and i have had mine for 3 and half years!
plus since i tape mine to my stomach and wear the sure seal, its relaly hard to change just the bag.

The phoenix belt is nice but not as nice as I'd like it to be. Seems like I want a hybrid between the phoenix belt and the ostomysecrets wrap.
I find the OS wrap is too long on my body and is basically a tube top. The pockets also aren't very well designed unfortunately :(

The phoenix belt is a lot slimmer but is definitely bulkier. It does add a lot of sense of security for sure. The whole horizontal bag thing didn't fly with me too well because when I tried to empty there was still poop in the top part of the bag which I couldn't get out ..... it was just tougher to empty.

Right now I just like the bag itself ... and contemplating trying out the pouch covers .... anyone tried those yet? http://www.cspouchcovers.com/products/

I don't wear a belt but my bag is always angled sideways towards my groin area. That way it fits neatly in my undies and doesn't hang down one side of me. It has the added bonus that as it fills up, I don't feel lopsided lol

I got my pouch covers at www.ostomycovers.com for only $6 each. I really like them. I tried the Phoenix belt, too, but it was too tight.

You may want to look at www.koolostomy.com as well, just for fun.

Covers have turned out to be the best solution for me. Plus they are a lot fun with all the different colors and patterns.
